Logis de France
The 1997 Logis de France national guide has been completely revised : more than 800 pages which are organized on a regional basis and no longer alphabetically, tourist and gastronomic information, three very practical indexes : per region, per departement or per town which allow you to find what you need quickly. Hotels-restaurants which offer the "Menu du Terroir Logis de France" in the $15 to $25 (US) price range are also indicated. And then, of course, you will find the usual information: 3,700 Logis hotels rated by "fireplaces" and pictograms describing their characteristics.
The national guide is available for FRF 95 (approx. $20) at all Logis de France hotels and at the Fédération nationale des Logis de France, 83 avenue d'Italie, 75013 Paris.
Logis de France is a voluntary hotel chain, gathering over 3,700 hotels-restaurants. They all adhere to a quality label which gives priority to comfort, excellent food, good hospitality, and a charming environment. All over France, by the sea, in the country or the mountains, most of them are located in rural areas, in pleasant little villages, sometimes in the heart of larger towns. They are classified with 1, 2 or 3 fireplaces, according to the level of comfort, and guarantee excellent value for money.
